Personal experience

Rakshanda is a RCI licensed Clinical Psychologist with experience in understanding, assessing, and treating individuals struggling with a wide spectrum of emotional and psychological concerns. Her work is rooted in the belief that therapy should not only help people reduce distress but also guide them toward clarity, selfawareness, and purposeful growth. Over the years, she has worked with adolescents, adults, couples, and professionals dealing with mood disorders, personality difficulties, trauma, and interpersonal conflicts. Her sessions are known for being compassionate yet structured, blending emotional depth with practical direction

Her therapeutic approach is integrative and individualized, designed around the unique needs and pace of each person she works with.
She draws upon evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Habit Reversal Training, Cognitive Rehabilitation, Social Skills Training, and Supportive Psychotherapy. By combining these approaches thoughtfully, she helps her clients move from awareness to action, addressing both surface symptoms and the deeper emotional patterns beneath them.

Rakshanda’s areas of expertise include Depression, Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Stress and Adjustment Disorders, Personality and Relationship Difficulties, Poor Marital Quality, Emotional Regulation Issues, Grief, Self-Esteem Concerns, and Burnout.
She also works with individuals struggling with trauma, identity conflicts, or difficulties maintaining healthy interpersonal boundaries.
Her experience extends to helping students and young adults dealing with attention problems, academic underperformance, and career or self-confidence issues.

In addition to therapy, she is skilled in conducting a wide range of psychological assessments, including personality and diagnostic psychometry, intelligence and cognitive testing, neuropsychological screening, and emotional-behavioural assessments for adolescents and adults.
Her assessment process is aimed not just at diagnosis, but at gaining a clear psychological understanding that guides treatment and self-awareness.

Rakshanda’s therapeutic philosophy rests on the idea that healing is not merely about recovery, but about rediscovery, of strength, purpose, and inner stability. She views every session as a collaborative process, where empathy and accountability go hand in hand. Her work emphasizes personal insight, mindset shifts, and practical goal-setting so that change feels real, consistent, and self-driven. Through her work, she aims to make therapy an empowering space where individuals learn not only to manage their emotions but to transform the way they experience themselves and their lives.
